We Begin at the End

The writing here is hauntingly beautiful. It is quite a complex story as every single character has agonising secrets in the past and what starts out as a straight-forward “felon returns home” story becomes wrapped in tragedy and a really moving ending. A long step beyond the typical crime novel.
