The whole family absolutely loved this and some of us are watching it all over again as it was so good the first time.
Airport fiction writer Greg Russo is manuevered into a writer in residence gig at the fictional Ludlow College in New England in order to help his daughter keep her post after an unfortunate incident. There’s actually a huge amount more than that going on, this is a quick-fire show that doesn’t waste a single second of screen time in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it festival of humour, pathos and incident.
We are getting even more out of the second viewing as their is fore-shadowing that we didn’t appreciate before and things we are only picking up on this time around.
Every character is full of life, brilliantly realised by all the actors who are at the top of their game, working with an absolutely fantastic script. Even the bad guys are sympathetic and we really like everyone involved. Perhaps the highest praise that I can give it is that Ludlow College is somewhere we all actually want to be - everyone is having so much fun!
It is hard to single out a particular performance here, everyone is great and they play off each other so well.
An absolute triumph of a show that deserves every ensemble cast award going.
Very highly recommended!
