Language, in all its forms has always fascinated me. I cannot remember a time when I could not read and always pick up a book whenever I have the chance. I love the complexity and nuance of written English, and the structure, precision and clarity of progamming languages. I care about communication, in every form, visual, audio and electronic. I want to know how it works, why it works and how I can I use it. The website you see here shows what I have discovered, and what I have still to learn.

What I do

I am a freelance Software Developer and Educator with many years experience; an author and artist with with more enthusiasm than talent; and a husband, father and cat carer with never enough time. All this I do from a large village near the ancient city of Lincoln, in the East Midlands of England.

What I Still Want To Do

Blame it on me, you can blame it on me

Finish more of the things that I start, for one thing! Other things: get better at understanding French (I can read it pretty well but find spoken French really hard to follow). Cut down on the snack food. Listen to music more. Feel that I have done the best I can in everything that I do.
